Affiliate Disclosure

Some links on wp.appliancefixdesk.com are affiliate links. This page
explains what that means, in plain language, as the US Federal Trade
Commission’s endorsement guides require.

How it works

Many of our guides name the replacement part that is usually
responsible for a fault — with the part number verified against the
manufacturer’s documentation or a parts supplier’s catalogue, like
everything else on this site. Where a parts supplier runs an affiliate
programme we belong to, the link to that part may be an affiliate link:
if you click it and buy from the supplier, we earn a commission on the
sale.

  • It costs you nothing extra. The price you pay is the supplier’s
normal price, whether or not you arrived via our link.
  • It does not choose the part. The part named in a guide is the part
the evidence points to. We name the same part — and say so — when no
programme covers it and there is no link to earn from.
  • It does not buy better coverage. Suppliers and manufacturers
cannot pay for a recommendation, a softer verdict, or a better
    position in a guide.

Programmes we may participate in

Parts-supplier affiliate programmes (for example, appliance parts
retailers such as RepairClinic and PartSelect, via their affiliate
networks) and, for generic components only — things like universal
hoses or a multimeter — general retail programmes. The specific
programmes active on the site will be listed on this page as they are
approved and enabled. Where no programme is approved yet, links are
plain links and earn us nothing.

Where you will see this

As well as this page, every guide that contains affiliate links carries
a short disclosure near the links themselves, so you do not have to
come here to learn that a link may earn us a commission.
